Background Information
BC Global South Sudan is a national nongovernmental organization registered with Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC). It is established to support the most vulnerable communities through improving their livelihood in a more sustainable and resilient manner. The organization implements projects related to Education, Health, WASH, Peacebuilding, Youth and Community Empowerment.
The achievements attained under the following thematic areas;
Education:
- Distributed teaching and learning materials to children in Bosodong village in Terekeka County.
- Conducted assessment on infrastructural development (construction of 2 classroom block in Bosodong)
- Increased partnership with local organizations in the country
Health:
- Conducted assessment on community based rehabilitation
- Submitted proposal on Community Based Rehabilitation/Inclusive Education
Wash:
- Provision of clean water to Bosodong community through local partnership
- Submitted proposals on drilling and rehabilitation of water points in local communities
Peacebuilding:
- Funded Jebel Lado Peace Festival
- Supporting mediation and negotiation of peace process of disgruntled youth groups in Rock City, Juba
Youth and Community Empowerment:
- Supported children and youngsters programs related to bible study and education in Juba
- Supporting Future Stars Football Academy in partnership with Future Stars International, USA
- Supporting girls program related to sports in Juba
Challenges faced during program implementation
- Inadequate funding to meet demand
- Insecurity such as intra and inter communal conflicts
- Impenetrable roads
- Cyclical inflation affects operations and budgets
- Negative social and cultural practices in certain communities
- Competition and duplication by other organizations
Management Analysis
The organization is consisting of national staff who tend to manage the programs and also liaise with other partner organizations for professional staff to support its activities of interest.
BC Global, South Sudan is in partnership with IMPACT360 and Community Action Water Program and they have worked together in implementation of a project.
The organization needs some key capacity building of its staff so as to acquaint to the contemporary organization management style.
Financial Analysis
BC Global South Sudan received its grants from its partner BC Global, USA. It has been operating on less budget due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic as donor countries have been mostly hit.
The organization has impacted communities with the less budget in which it has received from its partner.
Next Steps
- Increment in funding through soliciting for grants from a number of donors
- Proposals development by a consultant
- Community ownership of projects to build trust and reduce barriers in project implementation
- Build a 2-classsroom block in Bosodong village
- Build a mini-health facility in Bosodong village
- Train 2 teachers to handle the school in Bosodong village
- Train 2 medical community health workers
- Acquire a van to facilitate movement of staff and equipment to project sites

Most of the staff are the beneficiaries of the services we provide and we are mostly a self-reliant organization. So our main mission here is to highlight the main concerns on the development needs in the new country of South Sudan which basically lacks all that is required for its new country.
